COMPETITOR ANALYSIS

When carrying out the competitor analysis, it was possible to identify that none of the main competitors had the complete itinerary suggestion feature. As a result, it was found that it would be a great differentiator for the application.

When carrying out quantitative research, my goal was to find out what people missed, what bothered them and what made them happy when using existing travel apps.

STORYTELLING

Luíza wanted to explore the Brazilian Northeast. Every day, she looked for the most beautiful destinations with the most attractions to visit. One day, she took a vacation from work and set out to buy tickets and book a hotel. Because of this, she researched some apps and found one that was comprehensive, with all the tools she needed, such as ticket purchasing, hotel reservations, and itinerary suggestions. Finally, she booked the entire trip without needing to use more than one app and without having to go to a travel agency.

SKETCHES AND WIREFRAME

At the beginning of the project, some quick sketches on paper were made to start generating ideas for what my app would look like. After that, I began creating the first wireframes using the Figma tool.

STYLE GUIDE

Before starting the high-fidelity prototype of the application, a study on colors, typography and accessibility was carried out to create the Style Guide, a tool that helped me maintain the same design style throughout the application.

The main color chosen to represent the ScripTravel application was blue. This color was chosen due to its meaning, which are essential points for all trips: “The color blue produces security and understanding. It provides emotional health and symbolizes loyalty, trust and tranquility.”

CONCLUSION

Developing my first User Experience case with a travel theme, something I really enjoy, made me very interested in every part of the project, and I believe this helped me learn a lot about each stage of what it means to be a UX Designer.

The app is not finished yet; usability testing still needs to be done with the high-fidelity prototype, and some parts of the interface, which were created just for the prototype, need to be completed.
